Important information
Please be aware that according to the guidelines of the Spanish Embassy, the visa process time is 11 working days from the day of the submission at the Visa Application Centre. Please ensure that your travel schedule is after 11 days - since we will not be able to accept documents otherwise
The Embassy of Spain in Kiev advises all visa applicants in Ukraine on the process of applying for a Schengen Visa (Business, Tourism, Transit, student, Invitation and a visa to attend Congress or Symposium) to submit their visa applications to the Embassy of Spain in Kiev, with a prior appointment only. All applicants – groups and individuals will have to first come to the Spanish Visa Application Centre to submit their documents and then will have to go to the Spanish embassy on the same day to pay the visa fees in dollars. The Applicants only have to pay for service charges at the Visa Application Centre and not the visa fees.
The Applicants will have to carry the stamped Visa Application Form as a proof of the submission. There is a cashier counter at the Embassy where they show the stamped application form from the Visa Application Centre and then pay for the visa fees..
Please Note:
All visa fees payments will have to be made in dollars and at the same day of submission before 15:30.
The Embassy of Spain in Kiev is competent for:
• Ukrainian citizens;
• Legal permanent residents in Ukraine (for a minimum intended stay of at least 6 months)
The Embassy of Spain in Ukraine will not issue visa to Ukrainian citizens who live permanently outside of Ukraine.

Excluded from the necessity to book appointments through the call center/website are:
• Travelers in emergency cases (e. g. but not limited to: funeral, urgent medical treatment)
• Diplomats traveling to Spain on official visit
• Minors Traveling alone / (Student Minors )
They are requested to go to the embassy directly to submit there application.
Visa fee
• Please note that the visa fee is payable only in US Dollars.
• Please ensure that you are carrying the right visa fee in US Dollars when you visit the embassy to submit your visa application.

Please Note
• Children under 6 years and/or children registered in parents' passports are exempted from Schengen visa fee payment.
• There is a service charge of UAH 170,- (VAT inclusive) levied per application over and above the visa fees and applicable to all visa applications submitted through the V.A.C.
Photograph Specification :
General
- The photograph for each visa applicant must be an unmounted, full face photo, as described below
- The photograph must have been taken within the last six months.
- The photograph must be submitted glued to the application form.
Photo Size
The photo for each visa applicant submitted must measure:
• 3.5 cms x 4.5 cms with the head centered in the frame
• The head (measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) should measure about 33 mm
Photo Appearance
- The photograph must be a full-face front view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly.
- Face should cover about 70-80 percent of the photo area.
- The photograph MUST be in color and have only a white background. Photos with dark, busy, or patterned backgrounds will not be accepted.
Unclear pictures on a black-out background accepted will not be.
- general, the applicant's head, including both face and hair, should be shown from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side. It is preferable that ears be exposed
- or other wear, which detracts from the face, are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons (an eye patch, for example).
- photograph depicting a person wearing a traditional facemask or veil that does not permit adequate identification is not acceptable..
Note : If children are traveling with their parents and are included inside the passport of the mother and/or the father, one photograph for each children MUST be glued to the application form of the father or the mother, depending on whom are they traveling with..
